Identifying cancer early greatly increases both the effectiveness of treatment and the likelihood of survival.

The Colorectal Cancer Task Force focuses on increasing CRC screening for adults ages 45 – 75, addressing barriers and issues to getting screened, and working collaboratively to increase screenings statewide.

Colorectal cancer is the second leading cancer killer in Hawaii. Colorectal cancer (or colon cancer, for short) is cancer in the colon or rectum and affects both men and women. The United States Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) recommends colorectal cancer screening for average risk adults ages 45-75.
