Funded through a grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in 2001, the Hawaii Comprehensive Cancer Control Program (HCCCP) is operated by the Hawaii State Department of Health, and uses an “integrated and coordinated approach to reduce cancer incidence, morbidity, and mortality through prevention, early detection, treatment, rehabilitation, and palliation”.

The mission of HCCCP is to bring people together to coordinate cancer prevention, early detection, treatment, support, and research efforts to improve the quality of life for residents of Hawaii. The Program’s vision is “No More Cancer” in our state. HCCCP hopes to make this vision a reality through the Hawaii Cancer Plan.
